For the past year, Wendy has been helping me find confidence in my body and abilities. Living with multiple sclerosis is a challenge. Two years ago I changed gym memberships due to my gym closing and joined Mountainside Fitness. Within six months I began exploring boot camps and personal training. A year ago I met Wendy Keimer and she has changed my life and significantly contributed to the improvement of my health and fitness as well as my emotional well-being.

I have been gaining and losing the same 10 lbs for years and have never been able to keep them off. I’ve done every diet known to man (as extreme as taking daily belly injections) and have never found something I could continue to do for more than a month or two. Until I met Wendy.

For the past year, Wendy has helped me developed new fitness goals and a new outlook on life. My first training session with Wendy was not only positive but fun and exciting! I have been training with Wendy for the last six months, and I love her style of training! Plus I love my results!!

I have been lifting weights, three days a week for the last three years without the help of any trainer. I thought I was doing "fine" by myself. I felt that trainers were for people who were not motivated to work out, who were unfit or had physical limitations.

My husband, who is physically fit, decided to train with Wendy. I saw definite changes in his body. His balance and coordination were improving and I could see the muscle definition in his arms! So I decided that I too could benefit from training.

There are numerous trainers at the gym we go to. Each one has their own style of motivation and areas of expertise.
I would have chosen Wendy, even if my husband wasn't using her.

She is the epitome of physical fitness! You know instantly that she practices what she teaches. When she is instructing, she is concerned about your limitations, aware of your form and breathing, pushes you to your maximum potential and personable at the same time.

In my case, we move from exercise to exercise rapidly with very minimal rest time. We do free weights, machines, bands, weighted balls, stability balls, bars and my own body weight. I get an aerobic workout in addition to sculpting my muscles. The time just flys by.

I also take one of her boot camps which meets one day a week. That class gives me plenty of variety and is fun because of the group atmosphere.

So between personal training and boot camps I am working every muscle, in ever changing exercises, numerous days of the week.

Wendy pushes me harder than I could ever do by myself. I now realize that I wasn't as motivated by myself as I thought. :)

My body is changing for the better and I get compliments all the time now. I look and feel better at age 51 than I have since my twenties.

Wendy has been my personal trainer for the past 18 months. We usually train 3 times a week for an hour. Although working out can be a pain in the you know what from time to time I have to say that working out with Wendy has been a super experience the hour is over before you know it and once you are done you have this great feeling of well being and accomplishment the first month she trained me I had to get used to the tempo and the variety of exercises’ she put me through and yes there was soreness the first few weeks but I feel that I have gotten into a decent shape considering I am not in my twenties or thirties anymore and to know that I can still get a “pump” out of my workouts and a “burn” is a great feeling as working out will keep you in shape and feeling much younger than your chronological age so I can highly recommend Wendy to anyone who wants to have some serious workouts and wants to get back in great shape tell Wendy your goals and she will be a great factor in helping you achieve them.

When I started working out with Wendy a year ago, I signed up thinking, this will be great to get me in shape for Halloween. Halloween then lead to Christmas and very quickly turned into everyday. Wendy has shown me what I've always believed my body could look like. Working with Wendy not only in boot camp but one on one has really made me see that whatever I set my mind to I can do.
Its weird, I never believed I would miss working out, but when Wendy went on vacation, I honestly felt like part of my normal life was missing. Boot camp has become my happiness and my place of serenity.

I started working with Wendy immediately after joining Mountainside Fitness. I knew that I needed a set schedule and routine or I wouldn't get anything out of my membership. My overall goal was to tighten / tone my muscles. I was more interested in losing inches than pounds.

I had contracted with Wendy for 6-months of personal training. We worked out 3-times per week, for 30-minutes each. In that time I went from a Misses size 9 to a Juniors size 5! I'm thrilled with the results!! Now, I see Wendy 3-times per week for her Boot Camp class to maintain my new figure.

Wendy,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know what I thought of our work outs so far. I believe we started in early May and as you know I was really reluctant to begin any exercises that focused around my right shoulder since I had surgery to repair it a few years ago. I liked you approach to the issue and we worked on other areas first and started to gradually work into routines that involved the right shoulder area in our subsequent weekly work outs.

Well as it has turned out so far, we have added more exercises, increased the weight and reps and the overall condition of both my shoulders have improved greatly. In fact, my overall upper body strength has improved in my chest, arms and abs also. We have also worked on my lower back to help strengthen that area due to a cracked vertebrae that I have been nursing for quite awhile.

Overall I just wanted to say thank you for your time and the workouts that we have gone through. I look forward to them each week and along with my extended walking I feel I am getting stronger and in much better shape than I have been in several years. I have my next overall executive physical at Mayo's next year and I can't wait to see my results and discuss my physical conditioning progress with my doctor.

Also, thanks for making me feel guilty in eating pretzels, potato salad, potato chips and any other food items that you can think of during our workouts!

I am 31 years old and I have never been able to stick to any kind of exercise regime for any length of time. Every few months I would start to go, get intimidated or discouraged and give up. After the birth of my second daughter 2 years ago, I was unable to shed the last 20 pounds, I hated the way my clothes fit and was unhappy with the way I looked. The thought of trying again to get back to the gym just overwhelmed me. Finally I decided enough was enough and I signed up for Wendy's bootcamp. I finally ventured on the scale and saw that I had lost 7 pounds! I was losing inches off of my waist and my clothes were fitting again. I felt stronger and had much better endurance. I was thrilled! I decided I would sign up again, and by that time I was really actually looking forward to going to class. ME?!? Looking forward to the gym? That was unheard of a few months ago. I did another 6 week session and the pounds kept coming off. I decided that I wanted just a little more help during the week to get me on the right path so I started training with Wendy once a week for 30 minutes. Wendy has been teaching me how to use the weights and what exactly I need to do to tone up different parts of my body. I don't feel too intimidated to go over to the weight area anymore and each time I meet with her she helps me to plan what I need to do all week. She is encouraging and supportive but will also definitely push you to your limits!! I am down 20+ pounds and I have lost several inches off of my waist. My arms, shoulders and back actually have some definition to them now too! My husband said he feels like he is hugging a stranger when he puts his arms around me because my body has changed so drastically!
I am hooked on bootcamp now and will continue to sign up for the sessions. Wendy is amazing, and if she can not only get me into shape but actually get me to like the gym then she is a miracle worker too! My husband said that signing up for bootcamp was the best thing I have done for myself and I would have to agree!!

Wendy Keimer is not only a fantastic trainer, but she is an even better person. She has been an inspiration to me and is helping me achieve my fitness goals. I have been training with her for approximately four months. Since that time, my body fat percentage has decreased. I recently went to my doctor who informed me that she is going to decrease my blood pressure medication. I attribute this to my improved fitness. When God made Wendy Keimer, he threw away the mold.
